Pump Selection and Application Guide

Certain considerations are necessary for proper pump selection and application. Capacity is generally given in cubic metres per hour or litres per minute. Discharge pressure is in (kPa) Kilopascals or metres head. Discharge head must include the static or vertical head plus head loss due to friction in the piping system. All centrifugal pumps operate at the intersection of their capacity-head curves. Since it is not always possible to rate and select a pump meeting the capacity-head conditions of a prospective application, arrangements for throttling the discharge should be made in the installation.

For assistance in selecting the best possible pumps for your application, we require the following information. This will allow our engineers to furnish the best possible pump and motor combination at the most economical cost for your application.
